UPDATE: State Delays Start of Stay at Home Order Restrictions to 11:59 p.m. Sunday
A Regional Stay at Home Order for the Southern California Region was issued today, Saturday, December 5. The State has delayed the start of the Stay at Home Order restrictions to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, December 6. The Order is a result of the Southern California Region's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) bed capacity falling below 15%. ICU Bed availability is now 12.5% in the Southern California Region. The current ICU capacity in Orange County is 18.1%. Restrictions of the Regional Stay at Home Order Now Take Effect at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, December 6. The Order Will Remain in Effect for at Least 3 Weeks. After 3 weeks, it will be lifted when a region’s projected ICU capacity meets or exceeds 15%.
